On April 30 of this year a twitter user by the name of nokishita_c leaked images and specifications of the new instax square 6 (Instax SQ6). And was listed on BeachCamera`s website. The new camera is the analog version of Instax SQ10 and is around 100$ cheaper.
There is not much info about the release date on the camera. The reveal of the camera seemed unexpected and rushed, with very little ads and details and the leak might be the reason why.
The camera is available for preorder at https://www.bhphotovideo.com and https://www.amazon.com/ for 129.95$.

As per usual the camera has built in flash. The new instax also features Fujinon lens which offers a three zone focus design, with a minimum focusing distance of 11.8"(30cm). A small selfie mirror and dedicated Selfie Mode that automatically adjusts brightness and focal lenght to the ideal level for perfect selfies. And as we speak of modes SQ6 has a few.

The automatic exposure mode helps brighten both the subject and the background when you are in dark scenes. Light/Dark Mode also helps you to control the brightness of your photos for low-key or high-key effect. Macro Mode this feature is good when you want to take photos up close within a range of 30 to 50cm. Double Exposure Mode is almost a staple for newly released cameras and it is great to see it in an Instax analog camera as well, the double exposure mode help you get more artistic photos with two images on the same print and the last mode is Landscape Mode good for capturing moment and thing far from you, approximately 2m and beyond. And from the looks of the back of SQ6 you can turn off the flash! The new instant camera also features an optical viewfinder that can help you target spot for accurately composed images.

A new addition to the instax camera series are the colored flash gels - orange, purple, and green, which are included in the box.

The camera uses Fujifilm square film format and two CR2/DL CR2 lithium batteries (that will last for up to 30 instax images)
